Hi! another question... sorry to ask many question. There are many days that I wake up early although I was up late the night before, and there are many days I fail to wake up although I slept very early the night before, now, when I wake up at 5 o'clock and turn off the alarm clock, how much is it up to me whether I stay awake or go to sleep again, do I have a choice about it really? or is it deterministic enough for not blaming myself?

I think blaming yourself is always a little futile, but whether or not it’s up to you really depends. I suppose it depends on biochemical factors, so some might have an easy time ‘sleeping on command’ if you will while others find it the hardest thing in the world to do.

One thing is for sure, once you’ve genuinely had enough sleep, and you’re a healthy individual, it’s very difficult to sleep more - your body isn’t very cooperative in that case.
