Hi Dean! I've recently noticed that almost every time I meet/see a girl, I consider if I could be in a relationship with her, but it's not only new girls I meet. Through coincidences I got a seat in my new class 2 years ago, where I'm surrounded by girls which are some of my best friends by now, but I still have those thoughts. Is that normal? I'm a 19 year old guy, and those thoughts kinda annoy me bc we are just good friends, even tho I'm single. Is that normal? What should I do about that?

Well, you shouldn’t beat yourself up over that, I’m pretty sure the majority of guys has those thoughts. I’d say it’s only a problem if they become rather obsessive. ;)

It also just sounds like there’s a simple underlying ‘problem’ - neediness, loneliness, whichever it is. Don’t just ‘want a girlfriend’ because you will end up settling for someone that you might not even connect to that well. Most relationships aren’t as magical as they are hyped up to be, and the ones that are - well, they’re not the ones that you get by settling for less.
