To that anon who asked about mouse acceleration - Absolutely no. Never. Always turn it off if you can. Mouse acceleration increases the speed of your cursor based on the speed you move your mouse - you kind of expect your cursor to go to from point A -> B when you move your mouse, but with acceleration on, it will move inconsistently due to the varied speed at which you move your mouse.
